Brian is aged 62, married with two sons, with a background of 35 years experience in the financial services sector.
In 1983 Brian founded The Aitchison & Colegrave Group providing a "total asset management and financial planning service" to HNW individuals and the SME market, specialising in wealth management for entrepreneurs. Over the next 20 years Brian built the company into the largest privately owned independent financial advisor in Scotland and ranked in the top 25 in the UK. In 2003 the company was successfully sold to a FTSE 100 Company.
In addition to developing various private interests, Brian is currently an active Business Angel, investor and mentor to a number of Scottish companies and also a local Chairman of the Clydesdale Bank. Actively involved in venture philanthropy, Brian established The Aitchison Foundation and is on the Board of Enlight, The Entrepreneurial Exchange's venture philanthropy fund.
Brian was a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2000 Awards and is a founder member of the Entrepreneurial Exchange.
