UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

The Undergraduate Internship programme gives talented and ambitious students the chance to experience the working environment of some of the world's most successful companies at home and abroad.

The general admissions cycle is now closed.  However, the Saltire Foundation is now offering a special admissions cycle for penultimate year computer and information science students only by e-mail until 1pm on 26th January.

This opportunity of a lifetime includes:

Types of Internships

The Saltire Foundation is committed to sourcing the high-quality internships for our Scholars.

Internships are sourced in a variety of fields such as engineering, science, marketing, management, finance, arts management, video production, law, business development, tourism and hospitality, and international relations.

Locations

Most placements will be in Boston, Chicago, Dubai, Hong Kong, London, New York, Shanghai and throughout the European Union.

Select internships will be located within Scotland, as we are able to source some really amazing opportunities with top Scottish entrepreneurs. Scotland-based interns will benefit from networking opportunities throughout the summer.

Pre-departure & Leadership Development

Saltire Scholars are required to attend an Induction Day in Edinburgh on 26th March.

Saltire Scholars are also required to attend a Leadership Development Day on 2and June.  

Placement & Leadership Development

The 8-week placement will take place from 11 June- 3 August 2012.

During the placement Saltire Scholars will have the opportunity contribute to a project of commercial significance and in most cases network with high-level executives.

Saltire Scholars in hub cities (Boston, New York, Dubai, London, Hong Kong and Shanghai) will have additional opportunities through speaker series that will provide further leadership and networking opportunities.

As a Scholar or a Fellow, your programme with the Saltire Foundation is not a once-off experience. The Saltire network is a growing community in Scotland that represents Scotland's next generation of leaders.
