Project Activities and Key Roles
Analysis of buffer and safety stock strategies and development of algorithms to develop software applications.
The scope is to support the development of planning tools by deciding on suitable algorithms for setting safety stocks and how that can be applied in various business models and under various supply chain models.
Required Skills and Abilites
Feels comfortable with data analysis in large volumes.
Feels comfortable presenting ideas and basing them on data and examples.
Able to ask for help and be self motivated.
Essential Attributes
Good mathematics statistics skills.
Good software skills – Excel at least, development languages a plus.
Good business understanding of production methods and supply chain processes including MRP.
Excel experience – complex formulas and VB macro’s level.
Desirable Attributes
Experience in MS Office tools
Experience in VB or SQL development
Experience with MRP applications
Prior Planning experience
SIx Sigma training
