Project Activities and Key Roles

The intern will be working alongside our lawyers in our Hong Kong office on active matters, which will involve a broad range of activities including:

- attending meetings with clients and court/arbitration appointments
- drafting and reviewing transactional, commercial and disputes documentation, including agreements and advice to clients
- legal research and analysis
- due diligence

Over the eight-week period, the intern will spend two weeks in each of the four practice areas in our Hong Kong office, namely:

- Corporate
- Outsourcing, Technology & Commercial
- International Construction and Energy Disputes
- Projects and International Procurement

The candidate will also take part the implementation in Asia of a firmwide knowhow management project within the 8 weeks.

Throughout the internship, the intern will be supervised by a trainee and other more senior fee earners in the Hong Kong office.

Required Skills and Abilites

Ability to exercise initiative and judgment in carrying out tasks.
Ability to relate appropriately to others and operate effectively in a team environment.

Essential Attributes

Currently studying towards a Bachelor of Law degree.

Desirable Attributes

Interest in pursuing a career as a solicitor.
