Project Activities and Key Roles

Help develop / customise a set of Network Operations Tools for KAREN (see http://noc.karen.ac.nz), leveraging existing partial activity in Nagios.

Required Skills and Abilites

Ability to work with various external parties and internal experts to synthesise design requirements.
Ability to deliver work independently, but as part of a wider team - seeking input and direction as appropriate.

Essential Attributes

Computer Science / Engineering.
Skilled in PHP, Perl.

Desirable Attributes

C, Ruby.
Experience in developing in a LAMP environment.

Additional Information

KAREN is New Zealand’s equivalent of JANET – it is the national infrastructure that connects the research, education and innovation sectors.
