Project Activities and Key Roles
Service Center Support: Work Required
Warranty / CorporateCare® Coverage Matrix for AE3007C Operators
The student will need to work with the commercial group to create a matrix of what is and is not covered (e.g. labor, shipping costs, parts, etc.) for warranty, CorporateCare® and, in some rare cases, Power By The Hour. Since the Cessna contracts are older they can vary and are not as consistent as the Legacy contracts so there will be much research time involved in understanding what is covered by each contract – especially for larger operators like NetJets.
Commercial Agreements for AE3007C Engines
A list needs to be compiled of all commercial agreements (and other agreements such as those made in the Compliance Policy Committee meetings) where AE3007C operators are given a concession against their contract. The student will need to work with commercial and use the CA database to compile this information. One current major concern currently is whether repair of corrosion on the front frame (via service bulletin) is covered.
Invoice Vetting Map and Desktop Procedure for AE3007C Operators
The student will need to map out the invoice vetting process for AE3007C invoices from Cessna service centers using the matrix created above. After this mapping is created a desktop procedure will need to be written to document how the process works. As part of this the student will obtain several invoices from the AFA system for AE3007C engines and run through the process.
Essential Attributes

Additional Information
Overpayment to Cessna
The student will need to get data from the AFA database showing all the payments made to Cessna for service center work in the past year and vet this (using the process and matrix created above) to generate a full understanding of how much money has been paid to Cessna in the past year for work that should not have been reimbursed. Using this information the student will assist the AE3007C Program Manager and the Service Center Support Manager in determining how to best work with Cessna to stop this practice. This may involve the student drafting emails and / or letters and participating in meetings to rectify this situation.
Modification of Policy Manual and Distribution to Cessna Service Centers
The student will be responsible for reviewing the Rolls-Royce Authorized Service Center Network Policy Manual and noting if there are any additions or modifications that should be made for the AE3007C operator. The student will make these changes and redistribute the manual to all authorized service centers as necessary. Once the policy manual is determined to be current for AE3007C service centers the student will aid in approaching the Cessna service centers about adopting the policy manual. This may mostly involve working in the function of commercial officer to help the Service Center Support Manager and Commercial Manager negotiate this with Cessna.
