Abertay students and 2011 Scholars Kieran Roberts and Nicola Thomson made it through as part of a team to the finals of the European Business Masters Cup hosted in Stuttgart towards the end of January. Universities from eight different countries took part in the challenge.
The final of the competition was held over two days and involved teams being given the task of managing a solar panel manufacturing business and creating a business and marketing plan before presenting it before a panel of judges.
Kieran Roberts was the key part of the winning team that was crowned the eventual winner of the competition with fellow Scholar Nicola Thomson was also being a successful runner-up. When asked how she had enjoyed the challenge she said that;
"I had a fantastic time and it was extremely beneficial working in international teams. It boosted my communication and team working skills and learned to deal with different working techniques. It has further fuelled my desire to start my own business and feel that the EBMC has further equipped me for the world of work by enhancing my entrepreneurial skills."
Congratulations to them and the rest of the students who took part.
