Adios Boston.... Bye Bye miss American Pie

Last day in Boston/ Cambridge/ USA... heading home tomorrow... There is a mixture of joy and sadness, I have become fond of Babson/ Cambridge / Boston  ....This certainly is end of an era....

Today was the last day with  presentations at Genzyme - we were back at Babson... (and how fitting..... on our first day after arrival, there was fire alarm and fire trucks reception- we had to come out to a snow covered Babson, today, on our last day there, again there was fire alarm and fire trucks arrived, this time to a fully green, some what hot and humid morning). Babson staff remembered us... they very conveniently placed two glasses of orange juice without me asking... and ensured there was fish/ vegetable food available for their special diet guest.... every body had a warmth and friendly smile that you get when one sees an old friend. Babson has a special place in my heart.... and over the years I will be finding excuses (sorry, business trips!!!) to come back here.

Lots of good byes at Genzyme too....  when we came, we hardly knew anybody... when we are leaving, I believe we have friends back here in Boston/Cambridge/NewJersey (and rest of the Genzyme's very international folks). it has been a learning experience on many levels and one that will benefit us, but hopefully, our contribution to Genzyme would be useful to the organization as well.

so.... Bye bye America.... see you soon in near future.....  I must get back to the challenge of figuring out how to fit stuff in suitcases that normally wouldn't  fit in such a small and confined space (not easily anyway), and then make them look/ feel/ measure light for the air line check in........haa-humm..... here is an entrepreneurial idea... how about having a bag with hydrogen filled concealed tube around it  ....we can stuff as much as we want in it, it would still register very light weight on airline scales (at 2:00 am, I can only think of this being marginally better than VTOL suitecases and hot-air balloons tied to my cases)

PS. I have figured out the correct lyrics of the Bye Bye Miss American Pie song  (previously reported and associated with me as a summary in the wrong order of words)   :)

Since hydrogen is a highly explosive gas and the airline industry are often a little picky about people taking explosives on board, can I suggest that helium might be a better choice?

We'll ignore the other limitations of physics involved...
