This week I got introduced to the people over at the Acumen Fund - headed up by CEO Jacqueline Novogratz. They are a fantastic bunch of folks who are applying the principles of Strategic Philanthropy to social businesses - or as they like to put it - "Acumen Fund - a not-for-profit group (but not a charity) that is supported by investors (not donors) who want a good social return on their capital.
Anyway, they have also announced their "cohort of Fellows" - all 10 of them. Who will be experiencing classroom learning and also going off on experiential adventures (sound familiar??). They've been blogging away too, so you should check them out - the similarities between the Saltire's and the Acumen's are a little bit too similar.
So from one group of fellows to another - "to Sule, Josephat, Gamuchirai, Sarah, Yehia, Asim, Kevin, Satoko, Meghan and Muhammad - have a great expereince, learn lots from each other and above all have a fantastic time with your hosts, you're truly going to love it".
Check them and Jacqueline out at:
