Feels a little strange to back in the USA. But it's a good strange - it's so nice to be back.
While on the fellowship last year, I travelled to florida - fulfilling a lifelong ambition to go see the space shuttle at Kennedy space centre and to do spot of fly-fishing on the keys.
And today I've been able to mix a little business with pleasure to fulfil yet another one of my dreams. Last year one while on the Fellowship, my goal for the externship part of the journey was to head to California and experience at first hand the entrepreneurial centre of the world, by working in Silicon valley. And when that didn't happen - let's just say I kind of rebelled. But it all turned out good over in Cambridge, MA. in the end. And while I never quite got immersed in all things HiTech, I had a fantastic time networking with all things BioTech.
Well never one to let obstacles get in the way - today I made that dream happen. Currently writing this post from Peets on University avenue in downtown Palo Alto. The sun is shining, the coffee is as good as I remember and I'm meeting up with one of our very own global scots a little later.
Sometimes, you need a little "kick up the ass" to fulfill your dreams. And thanks to the saltire foundation and the guys at Babson I got that kick. - Feels pretty good to be chasing dreams.
