My placement at Sword Ciboodle has been mind expanding and I am now shaping my recommendations and distilling them into a few powerpoint slides -my IBM powerpoint experience is serving me well! 

On Tuesday, the Scottish Technology Showcase was an explosion of bright ideas and entrepreneurs, despite the horrid weather.  The ‘matchmaking’ sessions had me speaking with Belgium Embassy representatives, app developers, scientists, salt manufacturers, TV executive producers and energy specialists.

It was also a chance for this year’s Fellows to catch up with each other en masse and share our experiences of the externships. It was like a family reunion - but without the bickering!

Thursday saw another mass meeting of Fellows, this time at the Entrepreneurial Exchange annual conference at Gleneagles. What an inspiring day!  It was great to catch up with Petra from WEST and Neil MacMartin from Freeflow – these entrepreneurs have opened their businesses to the enquiring minds of the Fellows! 

The speakers throughout the day were inspiring and provided great tips on how to handle life as an entrepreneur.  It was great to see such open sharing and collaboration here in Scotland, it reminded me of our Babson days.

So what did one entrepreneur say to the other entrepreneur? 

“What Next?”

Entrepreneurs are not content to live on past successes. Speaking with successful and creative entrepreneurs at the conference, it was clear that  being ready to take on the next challenge is just another part of an entrepreneur's life
