Week 5....4...5?

So time continues to go by so fast and I can't believe week 5 is coming to an end already (apologies for the unimaginative blog titles... I'm not much of a creative person!). The past couple of weeks in work have really stepped up as our department had a 2 day workshop on the project we are working on so all kinds of people were there and it was 2 full days of listening and taking notes.  My main job over these 2 days was to try and absorb what everyone was talking about and to take notes on any comments or feedback.  There are so many different facets to the business that I found it all really interesting, and learned so much stuff that I had no clue about before.  I really enjoyed these 2 days and I found my confidence grew a lot after having been at the workshop so I feel more as if I can share my own input at meetings etc.  There have been loads of meetings recently that I have been going with my 2 bosses to, because all of our deadlines are approaching quite quickly there is so much to do and I think that is part of the reason the days are flying in so quickly!  In my last week here at Bilfinger I am going to get to work on some financial models, this is something I am quite interested to do so I am looking forward to seeing how I cope with that!  I understand a lot now about how the business actually runs but I am still quite eager to get experience of the financial side of things, so I am really grateful I am being given the opportunity to do that.

On a social front I have been really busy because I was in London last weekend working on the company magazine which was great and I got to go shopping too (although I feel 2 and a half hours in topshop on oxford street was a bit excessive), then I had my mum come and visit me just after I got back from London and I have 2 more visitors coming after tomorrow so it is all go! I hope everyone is enjoying their last few weeks.
