Paparazzi

One thing that sets LA apart from Scotland is the weather….waking up each day to the sun in the sky and no clouds just is not something that happens much at home, its such a great way to start the day!!

Being in the Hills at MediaXchange means it can get super hot during the day as once the Canyon has heated up you just can’t cool down…so it is great that the dress code is casual when there are no meetings or visitors to the office… shorts, t-shirt and flip flops are the perfect outfit for a hot day at work.

This week Meghan Cruz a colleague from the London office is over to work in the Los Angeles office with Katrina as there is an important event coming up in September – Showrunner.

It is an event which offers participants the opportunity to spend a week exploring showrunners, visit studios, sit in on a writers room and meet writer, producers and speakers who are experience and successful in their line of work.

So much work goes into the organisation of these events so everyone was run off there feet and for the first time social media was being brought into the organisation as it was a means to communicate with clients and delegates who would be involved in the event.

Twitter is such a huge phenomenon out here everyone is talking/tweeting about twitter so I have been researching and integrating these interactive marketing methods into the showrunner organisation.

Thursday night in Beverly Hills was spent with some friends from Scotland having drinks at Jesse Metcalfes house then off to Guys and Dolls in Hollywood….paparazzi in LA are everywhere looking to spot someone famous! Celeb spotting wasn’t even over for the night as Jessica Alba joined our table with her friends when she got in!

It was sad to say bye to Meghan on Friday as she was leaving for Monday on the Saturday and it was nice to have spent time with her and swap out London and LA stories plus in an office with 4 females you can just imagine the lunchtime conversations.

As I relaxed by the pool on Saturday afternoon with my friends taking a break from a weeks hard work what could be a better way to start the weekend than have frozen yogurts deserts hand delivered by Jesse Metcalfe himself … yum yum!
