I am now nearing the end of my 7^th working week over here in Dubai. It has been a busy week in the office trying to put the finishing touches to the marking data. It has involved a lot of information get passed back and forward via email. At one point it was all quite confusing and I had lots of files all over the place on my computer. In fact it’s still like that, but I am now wishing I had taking more time to arrange the files a lot neater. It would have made my life a whole lot easier over the past few days. That is defiantly something I have to take on board for future projects. I imagine that it will come in handy to practice this next year at uni when I have my main report to do. I still have one more day this week but I am predicting a quiet one, since this report information has been handed in. Or maybe I will get something else thrown at me! Who knows? Main thing now is that it’s nearly the weekend, which means straight down to the Jebal ali club for a big Thursday night out. It’s my flat mate Joe’s last week here, so it should be a good, but expensive, night.

Since my last blog, Ramadan is well and truly under way. Before it I heard many different things from people about what it is like. Most of them were juts ghost stories because it has been fine so far. Fair enough you can’t eat and drink outside during the day, but it’s easy to go and buy food and drink as a lot of shops are still open. If you’re drinking you can even nip down to the local sea men’s club for a ‘special coke’. It’s defiantly not as strict as I thought it would be.  Just the main thing is to respect the people who are fasting by not eating and drinking in front of them. That’s true about Dubai in general to be fair. As long as you don’t disrespect Islam or the police every thing will be fine.

Desert safari this weekend. I am looking forward to going dune bashing in the desert, followed by some and a relaxing Shisha while watching the sun set.
