Mondays are my MX days then I’m back to NH for the rest of the week so that I get 4 Weeks of work from both companies!

Monday Moring was started with a phone conference with the London office to all catch up on where we are and how we see the week ahead looking, which was followed up by a catch up of what had being going on while I was away…plus the 134 emails I had awaiting me.

It is important I get everything up to date and review what I need to be done within the week before I return each Monday so that we can keep on track of the work and that the social media and marketing doesn’t get forgotten about while I am away.

At North Highland I was continuing my work on the social media proposal decks, which are like presentations of the research and information that you find presented in a format which is clear and can be offered to the client. Researching, analyzing and creating decks to presenting these decks to potential clients is all part of the management consultant process, and working with the social media side is helping to build my online knowledge as well as marketing and media knowledge.

I joined Tom in Glendale for some dinner at Katsuya, a sushi restraint where tom introduced me to how a sushi expert eat at in a sushi restraint….having a fish phobia I had only ever stretched as far as tuna or cooked salmon…so eel, yellow tail, shrimp etc. I have discovered you defiantly have to face your fears to combat them!

After work the next day I decided to go for a wander along Robertson Drive to look in the shops. As I went in I spotted films crews then spotted Fern Cotton in Kitson…my new favourite shop in LA.. while she was filming for a show to be aired in October….typical girls we started talking about how much we loved each other’s shoes!

At the weekend Kate Burley flew in to join me and experience some of what LA has to offer. We had such a great weekend and managed to make use of every second of the weekend…. We started with shopping and lunch at the Farmers market at the Grove; Venice and muscle beach for the sun sea and sand; Dinner at the Roosevelt Hotel and a walk along Hollywood Blvd to see the star walk; Guys and Dolls night club; Sunday we had brunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel….saw Nicole Kidman; then off to Universal Studios for a day of action and adventure; out for dinner then off to Hyde Lounge to sip champagne…..it all came to an end at 5am when I dropped Kate off at LAX airport to begin our next week of work.
