Hello everyone,

Last time I updated I was in a state of flux, trying to secure work and taking every opportunity possible.  I wasn't really able to name anyone I was courting at that point, but I am pleased to be able to announce that I have now signed to leading digital agency Realise in Edinburgh.  I have been working there officially for 3 weeks, after 5 weeks of temping.  It seems quite fitting that it is also almost exactly a year since my internship came to an end, and it has been enjoyable keeping up to date with the adventures of the current SPIE interns, and also some of the others that I met during the application process, whilst trying to secure my own future.

Reflecting, it has easily been the toughest 12 months of my life, but I can look back on it now and see clearly the imapct that the Saltire Foundation made on my attitude and approach to everything I did, and still do, and will continue to do.  I am amongst a privileged few, and that if anything, is worth remembering frequently.

And so as the class of 09 prepare for their final year, and the class of 08 begin to spread out across the country and indeed the globe as they pursue their dreams, it is startlingly abvious that the most important thing to do now is to keep in touch and stay connected.  After all, it is difficult to forget the experience of a lifetime....
