After much packing, many farewells, a taxi ride, an express train, two flights and 4 movies, I made it back to bonnie Scotland! Even though I've been home since Sunday night, it still feels really strange not to hear cicadas screeching or see any Japanese people walking about... It's also absolutely freezing.

I had a fantastic last week and spent the last day wandering around some of my favourite places and picking up some last minute souvenirs.

My Saltire Internship was everything I could have hoped for - I got to learn something new every day, experience the buzz of working in the financial industry and the excitement of living in Tokyo. This internship also allowed me to indulge in my previous interest in Japan and Japanese culture, which was such a bonus.
