Hi everyone!

this will have to be a very short post because the pressure in the office is quite high right now.  It's the end of the quarter and they're reviewing everything that's been happening in the last 12 weeks, and that includes everything I've been working on whilst I'm here. I need to summarise different parts of my research for presentations that will go to various levels of management, as well as summarising what I've done here, and reducing it all into a process that other employees can use if they're trying to do the same thing. The noise levels have noticeably risen as different members of the team keep popping up at each others desks to check on final pieces of data and get information on specific devices.

The heat in califonia has been oppressive over this past week so over the weekend we headed to the infinitely cooler San Francisco.  They Might Be Giants played in the last of a summer series of concerts in the park, that was packed - made for great people watching. We also checked out the Exploratorium (I think aimed at children, but filled with adults in their 20s and 30s) followed by the strangest ice cream: Humphrey Slocombe, with flavours like Secret Breakfast (bourbon and cornflakes),  Balsamic Caramel (needs no introduction), Olive Oil. On some days they have a meat flavour too.

This time has passed so quickly - I can't believe that I'm at the final stage and that this will all be over so soon.
