My last week at Bayer was my busiest yet. I attended more congress update meetings, had a tour of the supply centre and production site, and worked hard on finalising my project. On my last day I had to present my key findings to my supervisor, which I was really nervous about but it went well and gave me good practice on improving my presentation skills. I also had an in-depth evaluation with my supervisor, where he gave me some really beneficial feedback which I am really appreciative of.
I was sad to be leaving Bayer and all the new people I met, but also excited to be going home to my family and friends. My time in Berlin enabled me to gain invaluable insights into the real workings of a global business and how marketing really plays its role. First-hand experience has greatly enhanced my practical knowledge and skills-set, which I believe will be extremely beneficial in my future career, so I would like to say a huge thank you to The Saltire Foundation for making all this possible.
