Good Bye Germany.

This week I though things would start to wind down as I’m in my final week, but no. Monday and Tuesday saw work flying in from everyone in the office which was great. This included re drafting a submission document, doing several tasks for the director of asset management and well as many other odds and ends.

On Monday afternoon I had a fantastic talk with the MD, where we discussed my time at BBPI and some of the things I had learnt as well as what I wanted to do next. Being in that position being able to talk to someone at that stage in their professional career was exceptional!

On Thursday I was invited to join the finance team on a team building afternoon after work where we went climbing in the forest. This wasn’t any old climbing however. Imagine being 15 meters above the ground and having to climb, zip wire and crawl over different/ across obstacles. It was great fun but we felt like we now had forearms of steel after hanging what felt like for are lives (but we all done harnesses on).

Friday was a nice last day as one of my colleagues wives had just had a baby girl so we all congratulated with him over a glass of Champaign in the meeting room. Just before lunch I had a brilliant sit down with the CFO and thanked her for everything she had done for me.

In the afternoon it was time to say all of my good byes to everyone in the team. I was so nice to meet a great group of people and they had welcomed me to the BBPI team so warmly (so thank you every).

In the taxi ride to the airport it was hard to believe my two months in Germany had been and gone, but what a truly amazing experience it had been. Meeting so many new people, getting to visit some amazing places in a new country and learning / refining many different business skills all at the same time.
