Looking back on our 2 months in Charlotte it exceeded all expectations. I have learnt so much from the experience and can’t thank IBM and Saltire Foundation enough. The people we were working with at IBM devoted so much time to teaching us that it meant we became capable of doing far more than I would have thought possible in the time we had. Without their generous support in time and skills we would not have been able to build up the confidence we gained in what we were doing. This is not to mention the Southern hospitality that the people at work showed in inviting into their homes and making us feel welcome at work. Sunday BBQs and trips to the Blue Ridge Mountains just made the experience even more unforgettable. I will not forget the skills I have learnt or everyone who made us so welcome.
