Bio
Hello everyone, my name's Jemma and in June 2009 I graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Forensic Biology from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. I joined the Saltire Foundation in 2008 when I was successful in gaining a place on the undergraduate international internship programme. I travelled to Boston, USA, where I worked in the Biomaterials R&D group in Genzyme Corporation. Being involved in research and development inspired me to continue in this field and so I am now doing a PhD in genetics at the University of Otago, New Zealand. I plan to stay in close contact with the Saltire Foundation and contribute as much as possible to ensure the future success of this amazing organisation.
