Bio

With a first class degree covering socio-linguistics and a teaching degree, Jim worked with Strathclyde Police where he was quickly promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Here, he worked on several operational planning assignments including Celtic Park, Gig on the Green and the British Open Golf Tournaments. Negotiator Support and an Authorised Firearms Officer coupled with Quality Assurance projects and Emergencies Planning Secondments provided a broad spectrum of experience in policing. Jim decided to leave this career behind and take up the entrepreneurial challenge, opening three franchises and a bar in Glasgow. In addition, Jim started another business providing re-finishing services to prestige dealerships in the West of Scotland. All businesses were then sold and the Saltire Fellowship beckoned.... Jim is an intrapreneur within companies and an entrepreneur in his own right. Always looking for a different challenge and the opportunity to creatively drive different business models...
