Ian Stevenson

Ian graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1997 with a 1st class degree in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering. He started his career in a highly technical role writing software. As he gained business and management experienced he moved into consultancy with a focus on rapid prototyping and bringing new technologies to market. This brought him into contact with a wide range of industries including semiconductor, telecommunications, medical, imaging, product authentication, and FMCG. Until joining the Saltire Foundation Fellowship, Ian was CTO of a high-growth software company, with responsibility for core technology development and delivering customer projects. In addition Ian has achieved professional recognition as a Chartered Engineer, volunteered as a Business Advisor for Young Enterprise Scotland and is a member of the Executive Team for the IET Management Network.
