Colin Millar

I am a public sector audit associate with Grant Thornton UK LLP, having graduated with a first class BA (Hons) degree in Accounting from the University of Strathclyde in 2011.

I interned in 2010 at Liberty Mutual in Boston, Massachusetts. Working in the Personal Markets Product Management division, I contributed towards internal auditing, complaints and compliance work. This was a fantastic opportunity to test myself in a large company, working on projects which are both challenging and significant to the department operations, and I have benefited a lot from the two month placement.

I'm now enjoying being a part of the Saltire Alumni, and look forward to contributing to the success of the Saltire Foundation in the upcoming years.

Outside of work I'm a bit of a sports addict. Saturdays are normally spent following Hibs around the country, and I play Sunday league football in Edinburgh. I'm also keen on tennis, badminton and squash, and have recently taken to running. I'll take an interest in pretty much anything that I can be mildly competitive in!
