Why does Scotland need you to participate in an International Fellowship Programme?

Significant opportunities exist for Scotland to become a centre for international business. To achieve this, Scotland - and successful Scots around the world - need to invest in our future pioneers and international business leaders. The best way for them to do this is to provide our business leaders of tomorrow with the benefit of experience in some of the world's greatest companies.

What will this programme achieve?

The fellowship programme will generate a pipeline of confident, entrepreneurially-driven executives ready to significantly enhance Scotland's commercial performance.

It is a programme that will fast-track the careers of our most talented aspiring business leaders and create a powerful alumni network of fellows, which will have a major impact on the Scottish economy over the longer term.

What does the programme consist of?

The Saltire Fellowship is a unique 12-month, full-time programme which combines academic study with experiential learning. It has been designed in collaboration with Babson, our academic partner, to meet the demands of the Scottish business community. The first programme will begin with a 'kick-off' event held in October 2008; the first on-campus module will start in January 2009 and the first cohorts will graduate in December 2009.

Programme Costs

The Saltire Fellowship will seek out and invest in those individuals with the greatest potential to make a difference. Unlike conventional MBA programmes, scholarships of up to 70% of total programme costs will be available to all successful applicants.
