The SaltireFoundation strives to be open and accessible to as wide a range of people as possible. We have endeavoured to make our website as easy to browse and navigate as possible, and have incorporated many special features designed to improve usability.

Standards compliance

The pages on this website were built in 2009 to comply with a minimum standard of WCAG AA, following all priority 1 and 2 guidelines of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

Navigation aids

Each page of this site contains a link to the home page, and the menu system has been constructed in a consistent fashion throughout the site for ease of use.

The additional breadcrumb navigation system and selective quick links boxes are designed to reinforce awareness of the location of the page that is currently being viewed, and to increase overall access to all of the information available on the site.

All pages also include a search box, where site content can be scanned to find appropriate pages quickly and easily.
